Binky Bro: Reagan & Coronado

Binky Bro Owners Rachel (25) and Matt (29) met in Utah while going to school. Matt is originally from California and Rachel is from Colorado. The savvy pair have been married for 5 years and have one little boy who inspired the line.  With boy girl twins on the way this 2017, the inspiration for a girls line is surely soon to come.  Dax just loves rocking these flat bills and how could we not shoot this cuteness. It was a match made in heaven for Tedeye Photography.

Binky Bro hit the winter market with two new designs, so check out https://binkybro.com/ for photos of the Kona and Iron.

Binky Bro: Finley, Lanai & Huntington

Binky Bro Dax had the opportunity to invite in some of his pals to sport the flat bills as well. Co-Owner Rachel shares, “I love when people are just as excited about the hats as I am. It’s cool to see. I have had people ask me to make sizes for adults in the same designs so I find that pretty cool because they legit love the hats and not just because they are small and for babies.”  Currently, Binky Bro only offers infant sizes, but 2017 includes plans for toddler sizes.  Who knows… adults sizes may be on their way soon too. Meanwhile, these little dudes will rock the infant wear.

Binky Bro: Taj, Coronado & California

Rachel and her husband Matt designed their first hat in May of 2016. Rachel shares, "We couldn't ever find cute hats for our babies so we just decided to start our own company." Rachel continues, "our company is more of a surf skate style, inspired by my husband who grew up in San Diego and lived in Hawaii for a short period of time. He grew up surfing all the time. The hats are basically designs that he would want to wear him self." The married duo were quickly inundated with orders and to this day their first design, the Finley, is their most popular hat. “We have gotten so many positive responses.”

In honor of this new development... We are now open for 2016 bookings.

Time Flies and Growing Fast

Riverwalk Extension, San Antonio
Season's Greetings! Tedeye Photography is heading into it's third year of shooting families in San Antonio, Texas. What an amazing blessing it has been sharing our passion for genuine, beautiful and affordable images. We take great pride in sharing the beauty of families at every stage of development. We have loved recording their growth through the years.

2014 was a big year for Tedeye. We opened up for event bookings and have been blessed with some intense equipment upgrades. We established #TedeyePhotography and made a splash on Instagram as @TedeyePhotography. Also, to our surprise.... our 2014 bookings filled up so fast, that we had to turn several lovely families away. This was a bittersweet moment because, while we hated saying no to customers, we loved that this meant our passion for photography has been shared and reciprocated among all of you.

We have some new and exciting opportunities opening up in 2015. One update specifically is that our prices have recently changed and now include more session options. To honor our loyal customers, if you have booked two or more shoots with us previously, we will honor one more session at our original price if redeemed in 2015.  Check out our investments page for updates on session options.

From our Tedeye family to yours, please enjoy a happy holiday season!

Tumblin' Toddlers!

Brackenridge City Park
Our little toddler sessions are some of our favorite shoots at Tedeye Photography. While a happy, playful toddler makes for an adorable subject, all mommies know that this state can be temporary. So here are some helpful hints for helping manage a successful shoot with an independent kiddo.

Brackenridge City Park
1. WATER. Bringing drinking water for yourself and your family is very important. Hot kiddos can get grouchy and inpatient. Plus being dehydrated will drain mommy's energy too.
2. Snacks or candy are perfect for rewarding good behavior throughout the shoot. Try to avoid chocolate or other candy that can melt and make for sticky faces. Pretzels, gummy bears, grapes, etc are all good examples of snacks.
3. A back up outfit or two for babies who may have accidents during their session.
4. For babies under 18 months, it can be helpful to bring a booster chair or pillow to help prop them for shots if they are still a little wobbly.
5. For shy kiddos, their favorite toy or blanket can help make new places less scary.
6. And for mommies, stay positive. Nervous mommies make for nervous babies.

McAllister City Park
Tumblin' Toddlers are cute doing just about anything. Just look at the photos displayed above. Together we can get some gorgeous shots of your perfect babies.

One-time Uploading vs. Studio Printing

Walgreens Online Album

Other photography services make the majority of their money by overcharging their customers for prints. It is Tedeye's philosophy to make it easier to enjoy and share your photos in the most economic fashion. In saying this, your finalized photos will be uploaded to your photo hosting site of choice. This will allow you to access your photos, download them, print photos, or share them at your convenience.

This method also allows you to revisit shoots from earlier in the year for reprinting. For example, using a summer shoot on Christmas cards or finally investing in that canvas print.

Some top choice photo hosting sites include:

-Photobucket, http://photobucket.com/

Some quick tips when navigating your photo hosting site of choice:

-If you don't mind the wait, go for the Matte prints. (You will be happier with the quality)
-When saving photos to your computer, use the "download" option (when possible), as oppose to "save"
-"Heart" your favorite shots from your shoot and share with a private link on Facebook or email
-Always search the hosting site for coupon codes. There is rarely a time when you can't find a coupon to reduce the cost of your order.

The process is so simple and free. Create an account (username and password). Then provide that information to Tedeye Photography. Happy Printing!

Picking Photo Props

Believe it or not, you have so many fun photo props just laying around your house. If you choose to coordinate props during your photo shoot, here are some fun and easy options.

Flowers
Children's Toys
Balloons
Baby Blocks
Game Board Pieces
Sashes, Scarfs and Quilts
Mommy or Daddy's Clothes on Little One (e.g. Tie, Heels, Pearls, Hats, etc)
Uniform Pieces (Great for firefighters, police, military, athletes, etc)
Party or Name Banners (i.e. It's a Boy!, Happy Birthday, etc)
Pets
Food (i.e. Pumpkins, Watermelon, Birthday Cake, etc)
Boxes, Baskets and Wagons
Antique Furniture
Shoes (i.e. Baby shoes, Boots, Moccasins, etc)
Graduation Tassel
Cars (Both real, models and toys)
Books
Chalk
And more....

You never have to spend a dime! My favorite props always end up happening organically in the shoot. For example, a kiddo playing with a pine cone, a family lounging on a fresh pile of fall leaves, a new engagement ring admired... Those naturally beautiful moments that I have the privilege of capturing.

Dress to Impress

Picture your shoot as you dress. Wear bright colors for beautiful photos with saturated color. Wear light colors for elegant, contrasted, black and white shots.
