How long is a typical photo session?
Tedeye Photography offers a variety of session options, but a typical session runs approximately 60 minutes.

How many photos can I expect from my shoot?
In a 60 minute session you can expect 20-40 finalized shots from your shoot. The range is depends on how we choose to utilize our time together. For example, outfit changes, walking, more complicated poses or challenges associated with pets or children may effect the number of your total final shots. Either way, your 20-40 shots will be edited and provide you with a variety of wonderful poses to print, upload or share with friends. For more session options visit our investments tab.

What does a "one time upload to my favorite photo hosting site" mean?
Other photography services make the majority of their money by over charging for prints. It is Tedeye's philosophy to make it easier to enjoy and share your photos in the most economic fashion. In saying this, your finalized photos will be uploaded to your photo hosting site of choice (e.g. Walgreens, Shutterfly, Walmart, etc.). Then you can access them, download them, print them, or share them at your convenience. You also have the option to request a photo CD or have the photos placed on a personal flash drive in place of the one time upload.  One method is included in every photo package and any additional methods are simply $5.00 per method.

What is a full printing copyright?
This means Tedeye Photography consents to you as a customer printing, uploading and sharing photos as desired for personal use. Photos may not be cropped, edited, or altered from original format. If photos are requested for commercial use, a full copyright is available starting at $200.00 depending on the service package.

Can I have my shoot at more than one location?
Of course! Many people do. We have two options for this. For example, lets work with an hour session at Sunset Station. We would choose a variety of different spots to shoot at Sunset Station. Then lets say, we decide to get some shots at the train, train tracks, or the start of downtown. That is all included in the session. We just walk on over. The more walking we do, the more it will eventually effect our 20-40 range of shooting (maybe leaving us closer to 20 than 40 finalized shots). The second option is as follows. You can pay an additional $20.00 and actually pause our time together. So using that same example, we may then shoot 30 minutes at sunset station, pause our time, and then resume again at, for example, La Villita or the Mission San Jose. Either option is totally doable and fun. Just ask your photographer. For more information on photo locations, click here

What custom packages are available?
We are not currently available to shoot indoor or studio style shoots.  We also do not currently have any package options for events such as weddings, baby showers, birthdays, etc. We are a small business that specializes in outdoor, portrait and lifestyle photography. Tedeye Photography is a member of an expansive photography community and we are happy to provide referrals for custom packages upon request.

Should I bring props to my shoot?
FUN! We love props! Moms are especially great for this. Bring balloons, birthday banners, blankets, sun glasses, food, whatever your heart desires. The shoots are very collaborative and we can work together to come up with creative ways to use props that are meaningful to you.  Your photographer will not necessarily bring props to your shoot, but she will make use of the nature around us. For example, leaves, sticks, stones, water, etc., may all become an active part of the set we create.  Click here for more pointers on picking props.

Am I suppose to bring pose ideas?
Your photographer will come with a variety of pose ideas. You are also welcome to come with ideas as well. Prior to your shoot, feel free to message your photographer poses you like or want to emulate. She will do her best to incorporate a similar idea.

What if it rains on my scheduled shooting day?
Not a problem. It doesn't rain often, but when it does, it is usually best to just stay home and enjoy a good movie in bed. Your session will be rescheduled at no additional charge. If you are under a time crunch, we can brainstorm ideas of possible indoor locations for our session.

Is there anything I should bring to my shoot?
WATER. Bringing drinking water for yourself and your family is very important. Snacks or candy to "bribe" toddler age children are very strategic. A back-up out-fit for babies (Seasoned Moms understand this one), and walking shoes to change into for women in sexy but dangerous heels. Feel free to bring outfit changes, props, pose ideas, and other family members to watch. Lastly, for babies under 18 months, it can be helpful to bring a booster chair or pillow to help prop them for shots if they are still a little wobbly.

Of course, feel free to contact us or post any additional questions.
